Overview

LiteShoper Stock Alerts captures demand when a product variation is sold out. Shoppers enter their email on the product page, consent to one availability message, and get notified when that exact selection is back in stock.

Alerts are queued (not sent inline on every stock write), with retries, admin subscriber/queue tools, and a secured cron endpoint that also scans stock changed by integrations that bypass normal hooks.

Features

  • “Notify me when available” form on out-of-stock product pages (hidden when in stock / backorder allowed)
  • Variation-aware subscriptions (not just product-level)
  • Required consent checkbox for the availability email
  • Queued email delivery with configurable batch size and max attempts
  • Custom email subject + HTML template with merge tags
  • Tokens: product name, variation label, product URL, unsubscribe URL, site name
  • Secure unsubscribe links (token hashed at rest)
  • IP and email rate limits on subscribe
  • Hooks into stock updates and order stock changes
  • Cron scanner for stock changed by external sync/integrations
  • Admin: Subscribers, Queue (process / scan / retry), Settings
  • Rotate cron token; retention cleanup for old queue/rate-limit rows
  • Admin permission module for Stock Alerts

How to use

  1. Install LiteShoper Stock Alerts and activate it with your license key.
  2. Open Shop → Stock Alerts → Settings and enable storefront stock alerts.
  3. Set queue batch size, max delivery attempts, and retention days.
  4. Customize the email subject and HTML template (optional).
  5. Copy the cron URL and schedule it every 5–15 minutes (scan + queue + cleanup).
  6. On the storefront, open an out-of-stock variation and confirm the “Notify me” form appears.
  7. Restock that variation (or run Scan now / wait for cron), then Process now if testing manually.
  8. Use Subscribers and Queue to monitor, cancel, or retry deliveries.

Tip: Ensure your store mailer is configured. One alert is sent per subscription; customers can unsubscribe from the email link.
