Overview

Google Merchant Feed builds a Google-compatible RSS 2.0 XML product feed from your LiteShoper catalog so you can list products in Google Merchant Center and Google Shopping.

Each product variation becomes a feed item with title, description, link, image, price, availability, brand, and optional identifiers (GTIN / MPN). The feed URL is protected by a secret token for scheduled fetch.

Use Settings for stock/image rules, default brand and condition, and optional shipping. Use Product IDs to set GTIN, MPN, Google product category, custom titles, or exclude products. A built-in Setup Guide walks through Merchant Center configuration.

Features

  • Google Merchant XML feed — RSS 2.0 with g: attributes
  • Variation-level items — one feed row per product variation
  • Token-secured feed URL — scheduled fetch with regeneratable secret
  • Core attributes — id, title, description, link, image_link, price, availability, brand, condition, item_group_id
  • Identifiers — GTIN, MPN, or identifier_exists=false when none
  • Product IDs admin — bulk edit GTIN, MPN, Google category, condition, custom title/description, exclude from feed
  • Feed options — include/skip out of stock, skip missing images, default brand & condition
  • Optional shipping — country, service, price per item (or manage shipping in Merchant Center)
  • Backorder support — availability can report backorder when enabled
  • Feed preview stats — items included, excluded, OOS skipped, no-image skipped
  • Setup Guide — Merchant Center steps, attribute map, disapproval checklist

How to use

  1. Install and activate Google Merchant Feed.
  2. Open Integrations → Google Merchant → Setup Guide and claim/link your store domain in Google Merchant Center.
  3. Go to Settings:
    • Copy the Feed URL (keep the token private)
    • Set default brand/condition and stock/image rules
    • Optionally add shipping country/service/price
  4. Open Product IDs and add GTIN/MPN (or leave blank so the feed sends identifier_exists=false). Exclude any products you do not want listed.
  5. In Merchant Center: Products → Add products → Scheduled fetch, paste the feed URL, choose XML, set a daily (or more frequent) fetch.
  6. Open the feed URL in a browser to confirm XML loads, then check Merchant Center diagnostics after the first fetch.

Tips: Use HTTPS, match landing-page prices to the feed currency, and give products clear images (Google prefers larger than 100×100). If you regenerate the feed token, update the URL in Merchant Center immediately.
