Overview

LiteShoper Tawk.to (liteshop-tawk) embeds the free Tawk.to live chat widget on your storefront. Visitors can message you while browsing products. Free plugin — no license required.

Installation

1. Plugins → Marketplace → install liteshop-tawk (free).
2. Create a free Tawk.to account and property.

Setup

Admin: Settings → Live Chat tab (/admin/settings?tab=livechat)

1. Enable the widget.
2. Enter Property ID and Widget ID from Tawk.to dashboard (or paste full embed URL to parse IDs).
3. Save — widget loads on storefront only (not admin).

Page visibility

Choose which page types show chat:

• Home, shop, product, cart, checkout, account, blog, etc.
• Checkout is off by default (recommended to reduce distraction during payment)
• Hide during maintenance mode (optional)

Advanced options

• Secure mode key — HMAC hash for visitor identify (from Tawk dashboard)
• Identify visitor — pass logged-in customer name/email to Tawk
• Send context — attach product/order page context to chat

Tutorial

1. Install plugin → enable on home + product pages.
2. Visit storefront — confirm chat bubble appears.
3. Send test message — appears in Tawk.to dashboard / mobile app.

Troubleshooting

• Widget not showing — disabled, missing IDs, page type excluded, or maintenance hide on
• Invalid IDs — must be alphanumeric only
• Check config status in settings: disabled / incomplete / ready
